Switzerland, the sort of sober and traditional Switzerland, but contemporary and particularly and always chic, is the country where so many cultures and languages coherently blend, nature and top technology, rivers of chocolate and over 1000 km of lakes that surround fairy, little towns and villages...

As for the panoramas with mountains and picturesque valleys, but also with vineyards, they “talk”about a place more, in most cases, than anything else. Here I visited 8 dream spots that need to be found on the bucket list of any lover of strolls, nature but also adventure, sport activities such as hiking, biking and therefore …here is the top:

1. Iseltwald is on the Brienz Lake and actually looks like a tiny gem, strategically maybe idyllically lying on the bank of the lake with dark, turquoise waters; it`s a real joy to spend some hours walking by the lake and especially to have lunch on the bank of the lake.

2. Stein am Rhein the one that perfectly fits its buildings and facades, painted with frescoes, with its medieval center crammed with nice alleys and cafés, considered one of the most impressive in Switzerland, is also a colored treasure of this country.

You should see the Rhinefalls Waterfalls, too, which stand nearby and rank among the biggest in Europe and Switzerland.

3. Thun hosts a castle built by the Dukes of Zähringen, but also and old center just perfect for walking&admiring. The Town Hall dates back to the 16^th century and besides it, you have a museum, too.

4. Close to Lugano you will discover Morcote or a little paradise actually considered the most beautiful in Switzerland in 2016, with many stylish restaurants by the lake and with the church on top of the hill which you need to reach and take some pictures. The architectural style, the stuccos, the frescoes, the sanctuaries and the botanic garden cannot be missed!

5. Ascona = a stroll alongside old and colored buildings on the bank of the Maggiore Lake. Thaaat`s all!

6. In Spiez, that stands on the bank of the Thun Lake, where you can also find many restaurants and bars on the edge of the water, you have splendid views, an old castle and charming gastronomy.

7. ”The village carved in wood” or Brienz, on the bank of Brienz Lake, is known for the tradition of the wood carvings near here, but also for its romantic ambiance and for the trips in the nearby area. Close to Brienz there is a wonderful hotel from the 19^th century, built by a noble family in Zurich in a very fancy style, Grand Hotel Giessbach, where I recommend a dinner by candlelight or a drink on the terrace.You can enjoy a beautiful view of the lake but also of the Giessbach Waterfall.

8. Lauterbrunnen is renowned for its spectacular waterfalls but also for its incredible forms of relief –the valleys, high peaks, gigantic rocks and on the whole, breathtaking landscapes.
