Why: The Vitznauerhof Hotel is that kind of romantic spot, with a private pier, a superbe garden, awesome views, gourmet restaurants and dream spas, not to mention a deep sleep in a deep peace=a total treat! Besides, it has a history and it was opened in 1901.

When: The good thing about Switzerland is that you can actually explore it every season, but let`s say that the most pleasant months would be from June till September, when I myself chose to make a small escapade here.

Location: By Lucerne Lake, at the foot of the Rigi Mountains, therefore deep in the heart of Switzerland. And the owners say that it is one of the most spectacular and sunny spots in the whole country 

Energy: A fairy ambiance, 100%relaxation, mystic body treatments, excellent food and fresh mountain air…what else can you possibly ask for?

Don`t miss:

• The hotel has 53 super cozy rooms, basic but with a modern touch, they are fancy, extremely bright, all of them overlooking the lake and the mountain (superbe)

• 3 top restaurants: Inspiration, with a relaxing vibe, light, and with many culinary variants, 

Panorama Terrace – the name is pretty clear, Mediterranean notes under the open sky

the Sens restaurant, gourmet of maritime inspiration, as creative as possible, where you can enjoy a menu of 4 or 8 courses.

or the small lounge by the Panorama Terrace, they all have panoramic views over the lake as well as all the restaurants.

• At Vitznauerhof you have: spa, sauna, steam baths, relax room, outdoor Jacuzzi, massages, cosmetics and gym, plus relaxing spots with sunbeds, by the lake or displayed in the garden;

• The pier where you can go at dusk with a glass of wine;
• Each floor has a Nespresso coffee maker and teas of all kinds, cups and mugs, so you can help yourself with a free coffee or tea whenever you feel like;
• Depending on the period of time you can also test other cool activities and nice events which the hotel makes available for the tourists.

Not so hot:

The rooms have almost all the possible amenities except for air conditioning and as for the design lovers they may be a bit disappointed by the décor, which is more modest from this point of view.
