It`s the city where the holiday, the flamenco, the lunches and the stunning tapas, the conviviality and the joy are the only purpose of living here. Bizet with its Carmen and Rossini and its Barber of Seville chose it as a perfect setting for their operas, that became extremely famous all over the world. 1. Start your visit around the city with Real Alcázar Royal Palace, one of the most beautiful in Spain, the oldest in Europe and a UNESCO heritage site, with its fantastic gardens (where some scenes of Game of Throne, were filmed, too)

2. The Cathedral is next on the list, it`s the biggest gothic one  and the third largest one in the world, with its Giralda Tower, a former minaret of the original mosque, on which the cathedral has stood since the time of the Muslim domination; it`s a perfect point from where you can admire the city

The tiny streets around the Cathedral are also worth a pleasant paseo

3. Go for a walk through the Santa Cruz neighborhood – or the Jewish one, with Calle de Las Sierpes, Calle Tetuan, where, besides the best known shops, you can also find many souvenirs like hand-made embroidered shawls and fans,

go for a walk in the legendary Triana ,too, which is dominated by the peculiar atmosphere of the Semana Santa processions, the deep vibration of the flamenco but also restaurants and tiny streets that have a peculiar charm

4. We go on with the Belles Artes Museum, one of the most important  in the country, with exquisite interiors and exteriors and then with Casa de Pilatos, an Andalusian Palace, with Italian and Moorish, Renaissance influences, with azulejos and wonderful gardens

5. Walk in the Palacio de la Condesa de Lebrija, too; it has some exceedingly spectacular Roman mosaics, but also impressive collections of sculptures and decorations

6. Plaza de España,

 with its Maria Luisa Park, close to it, are perfect for spending a couple of hours in a Spanish, Moorish and Renaissance setup, worthy of the scenes to be seen in Star Wars and Lawrence of Arabia , with pavilions, ceramics, fountains and super original and beautiful, little benches, built on the occasion of the Iberian-American Exhibition in 1929
