During the so many years of colored journeys, many hotels were, for several nights, like ”home“ to me and in some of them I walked in to find out their stories, to “catch” their charm in a second, as short as a flutter of wings, and feel their life within. Out of this large number of hotels I reduced them to 10, an essential number. A round number just perfect for a top of hotels from the wide world, according to “colored ideas” tastes and emotions.

1. Qasr al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara – for the unique scenery where it made its home, for the extremely exquisite design and the perfect mystery and energy for adventures with ”one thousand and one nights”.

2. La Chèvre d'Or – on the hills of Eze, an epitome of romanticism; an absolutely French elegance and refinement, along with awesome views of the French Riviera.

3. Alila Ubud – for the quiet, the zen and the perfect calm of the Balinese village in the valley of Ayung river and particularly for the respect and the promotion of traditions, and for its ecosystem and the sustainability of tourism in the area.

4. Grace Hotel Santorini – if you want fantastic experiences in immaculate and pure settings, the grace and luxury of this hotel will amaze you, upon my word!

5. Dhara Dhevi  – for its cultural richness, for the impressive design, typical of a traditional palace, for the comfort, the activities and things you can do and learn here.

6. La Bastide de Gordes Hotel - seems to be taken out from Chagall`s paintings, in a Provençal area that inspired so many artists, in colours, style and local atmosphere, which I adore.

7. Caesar Augustus Hotel – history, glamour, incredible panoramas, location on a rock in Anacapri, that takes your breath away+organic food.

8. Ca` Sagredo Hotel – a boutique-hotel like a pink gem, in the heart of Venice, ground to the finest details, a 15th century palazzo…a dream…

9. Taj Mahal Palace – a landmark of the great Mumbai, founded  by the famous Tata, home for so many celebrities.

10. Hotel Memmo Alfama – for its gastronomy and wines, in the suave and melancholic Lisbon.
