The most beautiful 5 picnics in the “colored” world
It`s an absolutely peculiar custom, which I turned into a ritual throughout the years of my colored journeys: ”the picnic test”. Reducing one single place to a break “at the blade of the grass” (or at the grain of the sand) with local food and drinks, with a thorough contemplation of the place where you decided to stop having in mind the plain idea that “sometimes you need so little to be happy…”
Out of all the picnics that I planned round the world, I`ve chosen 5 that are worth re-telling:
1. Seychelles – on the unreal, white sand of the beaches in Seychelles, with crystal-clear and turquoise water, close to a coconut tree of a tropical forest, a set-up with fancy cushions, some red, hibiscus flowers, white dishes and many fresh and exotic fruits, and lovely mini snacks. Unforgettable!

2. Oman – before sunset, on the steepy rocks of the Satabyn plateau in Hajar Mountains, lying on some huge pillows, in wonderful hues of orange, accompanied by amber - like bubbles and some canapés with vegetables, salmon and cheeses. The poetry of silence…

3. Maldive – the white sand and the azure sea, a four-poster bed with soft and comfy pillows, a little table with goodies and some tropical flowers were the secret for a dream picnic.

4. Mallorca – I didn`t need too many things, as the décor seemed to have been already set-a gorgeous, little corner of a bay on a late morning, with a fantastic, azure water, as far as the eye can see, some rocks and pine vegetation, but also many tapas and some delicious rosé wine.
5. Champagne – Chateau de Mairy.France. A lovely, warm, sunny day. An immaculate, cotton blanket, travel and lifestyle magazines, macarons, French cheeses with fruits, croissants, fresh fruits and …champagne! Better than Mr.Gatsby`s style
