Or, more precisely, a billion euro hotel!

Before my voyage to Mumbai, I had occasionally heard about Tata. About the Tata Group, in brief. I knew it was a super powerful Indian company, famous for the cars and the drinks that it makes, but I hadn`t imagined how powerful this industrial colossus was actually, and that it created one of the most incredible, wow, the most “valuable jewels” of all the existing hotels in the wide world.
To be more specific about it, the hotel is named The Taj Mahal Palace, in order not to be the slightest doubt as far as its grandeur and beauty are concerned.
At the beginning of the XXth century, Jamsetji Nusserwanji Tata, aka, ”the father of the Indian industry” gave a new meaning to the concept of a hotel in India, more precisely in Mumbai, by investing about 130 million pounds (at today`s value) in its construction.
For more than a century (since 1903, since it was opened to the public), the Taj Mahal was the favourite destination of a few hundreds of maharajahs who crossed its threshold, all of them looking on it as their second home. And this speaks highly about it.
