Beach, ocean, sun, skyscrapers, stars, the afternoon tea, Ultra Music Festival, perfect bodies, crazy nights, Latin spirit...does anything seem to be out of place in this enumeration? Hm...the tea? Well, not in the least!

Did you think that the 5 o’clock tea is an European way of giving  yourself airs? That the rhythm of life in America doesn’t stop for a few peaceful moments in the afternoon? You are wrong! Miami is one of the cities where I enjoyed the most beautiful tea time, accompanied by flavors with caffeine, at the splendid Biltmore Hotel, a landmark of Miami. The whole story was accompanied by a "dandy-style" atmosphere, luxury combined with an architecture of Italian and Spanish inspiration, in harp strains, a kind of American Riviera, so to speak. 

Yes, yes. An afternoon tea with Petit Fours, English dumplings with whipped cream, salmon muffin or turkey with guava jam, mini sandwich with cheese and cucumbers and devilish eggs. And some flavors of white tea with camomile and osmanthus or green tea with jasmine or black tea with an unforgettable  bergamot . The selection is very rigorous and equally delicious.

The tea is being served after lunch, only in the superb lounge of the hotel, which is specially arranged for this event and you’d  better  book your seat in advance. And during holiday season they also have theme starters. Isn’t it better than London?
