Hemingway used to say that, if you are lucky enough to live in Paris when you are young, wherever you may go afterwards, it will follow and join you permanently, as Paris is like a festivel, or like a strolling holiday! Oui, monsieur !
Despite not having the privilege of living in the town of  “amour toujours” during my childhood or teenage years, I now have the chance to see it time and again, therefore, the Parisian fête that Mr.Hemingaway used to talk about is always on my mind and lies deep in my heart, it`s an amalgam, as sweet as a macaron, with an unmistakable flavor, in all the nuances of joy.
I admit that I couldn`t cover all you need to see in Paris in any “classique”guides, but perhaps you don`t need a “mathematical” list, because this is the town that you get to know with your heart, while strolling along, in a rather haphazard way, discovering its splendors at every step.
Donc, ceci n`est pas une liste; I`d rather say they are …”mes amours” from my latest journey that has just come to an end in my beloved town…

Paris - my colored “amours” : 

1. If you want to start with what is more interesting and, at the same time,more captivating, from all points of views, visit each and every museum, headed by Louvre, bien sûr.
2. The magnificent and the opulent Opera Garnier should be definitely visited, too-both the exterior and the interior

3. A boat trip on the Seine, by Bateaux Mouches, is a must, so that you can pass under the bridges and take some nice photos, worthy of Insta

4. The bouquinistes, strung along the Seine, between Louvre and Île de la Cité are very nice, a souvenir needs to be admired&bought

and once you got to Île de la Cité, walk in the Notre-Dame and the beautiful, gothic Sainte-Chapelle; it is still here that you can eat the best ice cream in Paris, at Berthillon

5. St.Germain is a neighborhood that you definitely need to visit, with a coffee break at one of the famous cafés: Café de Flore or Les Deux Magots, with the wonderful Jardin de Luxembourg; last, but not least: the picturesque Rue de Buci

then wend your way to Montparnasse and don`t fail to climb to Tour Montparnasse 56 (https://www.coloredideas.one/en/a-sky-scraper-in-paris.htm) to get a complete view over Paris

6. Dôme des Invalides with Napoleon`s tomb is a place you need to get to for history&culture

7. Cross the Bridge Alexander III, with its statues and fab, gilded ornaments, from where you can see the Eiffel Tower

8. Go for a walk in the aristocratic Marais, and don`t miss Place des Vosges, with its park, the oldest one in the metropolis

9. Montmartre neighborhood with its famous Sacré-Coeur, plus a stroll through Place de Tertre, the Dali Museum and the surroundings, full of old charm and history are other Parisian areas to be checked

10. Champs Elysées at dusk, are magical if you go there for a leisurely stroll

11. Jardin de Tuileries cannot be missed, it`s quite pleasant to walk along its alleys

12. Don`t miss the Arch of Triumph, from where you get a wonderful view over Palais de Chaillot or from Champs de Mars, where, when it`s hot, you can have a picnic

13. Make a reservation at Cabaret, at Moulin Rouge, for something classic, and for something fancier, choose Crazy Horse (https://www.coloredideas.one/en/life-is-a-cabaret-en.htm)

14. Other place to be checked: the Saint Martin Canal, a construction that dates back to Napoleon`s time
15.The Père Lachaise Cemetery(https://www.coloredideas.one/en/the-graveyard.htm) is worth seeing, for a little foray into the lives of the great artists
16. As I am aware of the fact that Paris requires shopping, Printemps, Galeries Lafayette and Bon Marché are my favourites, and if you are keen on antiques, the renowned Marché aux Puces de St.Ouen is the place to find everything
17. The gourmands will certainly like the market in Rue Mouffetard, the delicacies at Grand Épicerie de Paris, Fauchon ou Hediard, and one of the best pastry shops, with goodies that really take your breath away - Des Pain et Des Idées, close to St.Martin Canal
18. Colored rec: I tasted the best éclairs at L'Éclair de Génie, and the best macarons at Pierre Hermé (a kind of Hermès of macarons), but I also liked those at Gérard Mulot and the well-known Ladurée

19. For unique and particularly romantic occasions, the restaurant Jules Vernes, in the heart of Tour Eiffel, belonging to the unique Alain Ducasse, is ideal (with prices to go along with his fame); L`Oiseau Blanc belongs to the same category, except that from here you can have a gorgeous view over the Eiffel Tower

20. If you are still in Paris, you need to try one of the many neo-bistrots, en great vogue right now-a kind of tiny restaurants with chefs, but with reasonable prices-such as L`Absinthe or Thoumieux

21. A cocktail made with champagne, to go along with a view, can be experienced at Ciel de Paris (located in Tour Montparnasse 56), or at La Vue and if you fancy a cocktail in an unpretentious bar, crowded with locals, La Rhumerie is the spot; a drink in a super fancy bar is to be tested at Le Bar Long (at Royal Monceau)or at Le Bristol Bar (at the hotel with the same name) but also at Le Bar (George V Four Seasons Hotel)

C’est la vie, c’est Paris!
