• Ta Prohm is worth a visit for its fairy ambiance, created by the huge trees-silk cotton tree, with its giant roots, growing out and climbing the buildings of the temple, the view is spectacular,particularly combined with the ruins of the temple, and you seem to be carried away on the wings of a fairytale. Thistemple, built by Jayavarman VII in honour of his mother, includes various details that suggest wisdom, and make us thinkof his mother, and is among the few where an inventory of his staff and belongings is revealed. It is in this place that some scenes of Tomb Raider were filmed.

• Preah Khan is similar to Ta Prohm as far as structure is concerned, being built by the same king, but this time being dedicated to his father. The temple is now falling to ruin, but the whole setting is like a fairy scene, here, too, maybe thanks to the rich, natural beauty that surrounds it.

• Baphuon has an interesting history, connected with its restoration, in the 60s, that has been compared to fitting together the pieces of a huge, three-dimensional puzzle, and the Terrace of Lepper King is also worth checking, with its U-shaped 25 metres, representing gods and goddesses.

• Ta Keo looks like a pyramid, with many sanctuaries, and is one of the most magnificent one, in the Angkor mountain. Becareful, if you want to get to the top, you should know that it isn`t an easy thing to do-the steps are extremely steep and narrow!

• Ta Nei is luckily less crowded than other places, although its beauty is not inferior to others. A silk tree is growing out gracefully on the north wall, the Buddhist and Hindu sculptures are exquisite and the light over here is highly appreciated by many people who are keen on photography.
