Pay attention!: to be carefully read, if you are hungrysmile
Aromatic herbs and spices, sticky rice and coconut milk, fish and banana tree leaves, noodles, vegetables and fruits as much as the eye can reach-but all …mmm..extravagant (yeah,#nooverrated) - this a brief Khmer cuisine.
Here`s the #extended variant, below, with merciless details for the greedy ones.
Ah, and an extra-bonus (so that our appetites and papilla get mad): some bars that let me bouche-bée.
Let`s taste, Colored Planet!

Colored list of restaurants:

• Dining Room in Park Hyatt will impress you, first of all, with its décor-a view of the banyan tree in the garden, but also with the extraordinary cuisine (it`s one of the best one in Siem Reap), therefore, I undoubtedly recommend it to you – try their Cambodian menus, with mixes of flavors that give an incredible taste to the dishes (the chicken salad with green mango and peanuts, chicken rolls with cucumbers, Khmer noodles and coconut sauce, baked egg-plant salad with cress, garlic and shallots, sauté chicken with ginger, palm sugar with green onion and fish sauce with Kampot pepper).

• Sugar Palm is perfect for a typically Khmer lunch, by the book, with so tasty dishes; you will be as delighted as I am, by the open passion of the people at the Sugar Palm for tradition; you definitely need to try fish amok here!
(A local`s recommendation: you`d better book a table for dinner, as the owner of the restaurant is always present in the evening, she is the one who cooks and the food is even better than at lunch)

• Viroth´s Restaurant - are actually two, one in the hotel and another one a  few minutes` walk from the first one, with the same name, but with a lot more super tasty dishes of Khmer gastronomy (at prices as good as the accommodation at the hotel)

 • Café d'Angkor from Raffles Hotel is worth having lunch or dinner, especially if you fancy some international tastes, not only Cambodian ones, but don`t miss the tray combined with Khmer desserts (sago dumplings, sticky rice with pandan, steamed tarom) which, beside jackfruit ice cream, were de-li-cious!

Colored list of bars:

• Miss Wong Cocktail Bar is cool&cozy, exotic&with a design typical of the 30' s, of the last century, full of super tasty mixological surprises, in a vintage ambiance with a touch of Shanghai

 • FCC (Foreign Correspondents Club) has details typical of the former colonial style, much more refined and stylish, just perfect for you to relish goodfood&drinks in an authentic, local décor

 • Elephant Bar from the Raffles Hotel stole my heart irrevocably and for good: the setup is match made in heaven with a delicious afternoon tea, but also with the excellent selections of wines and cocktails, which you can leisurely sip in the gorgeous garden over here

• The Living Room in the Park Hyatt is the kind of private, stylish place, from where you can hardly leave: traditional menus combined with tapas and light lunches served along with brilliant and extremely varied drinks

Café Central must be tried because it`s famous, it`s obviously central, beside the Old Market, in an old colonial building, but with some latest industrial details and chill vibe
