The Mexican variant of the shawarma spit-grilled meat with everything
Although it is not actually a shawarma, it is just as famous. And as tasty. May be even tastier and a bit healthier than its Arabic variant, especially if it is cooked with some… fresh and yummy fish. ”Comer bien para vivir mejor” as the mexicans would say. It is exactly what I myself did in Tulum, and it is quite simple to cook it at home, that is, fish taco (ahhh, I already feel like eating one). All you need is:
Ingredients: white fish fillets (with a firmer texture), red onion, oil, salt, pepper, tortillas, lime slices, avocado, finely chopped cabbage and sauce.
Cooking it: siiiiimple! The fish is washed and dried, the onion is sliced in quarters and everything is sprinkled with oil, salt and pepper. The onion and tortilla slices are then put on the grill, turned from time to time, about 10-15 minutes, as well as the fish, about 8 minutes. It is then arranged on the plates and served with avocado, lime, salsa, cabbage and sauce.
A comer!!
