I wanted my latest journey to Paris (but obviously not my last one) to be “sans faute”. I wished it had balance, elegance, refinement, a flawless dosage.
Therefore, according to my good, colored tradition, I began with a reasonable and minute documentation. Not a few times have I come across the new cuisine  concept during my bookish&virtual searches. The Gourmandise Planet is passionately in love with this new concept: the neo-bistrots, that is bistrots brought to the state-of-the-art, a trusteeship, culinary experience that re-interprets the classical bistrot-menu in a chic&millennial way. With extra skilled chefs, reasonable prices ( especially if you go there during the week you will find exquisite menus at very good prices) and a deco context to go along with it, le neo-bistrot is oh-la-la!

 • Thoumieux - une brasserie très sympa, decorated in an eclectic style with many top-top dishes, meticulously arranged along with appetizing burgers and fresh cheeses; ah, not to mention the lovely desserts that a gourmand`s palatine is nuts about(and not only )

 • Les Cocottes – Saint-Jacques bathed in butter, crab salad, cod cocotte with vegetables in balsamic sauce, gaufres with caramel, chocolate and Chantilly

 • Vivant – small and cozy, private and…French, super popular and extremely frilled, just perfect not only because of its fabulous food(squid with crunchy crumbs of black olives with tender, green beans and a sauce that makes you lick your fingers, steamed fish with bok choy and carrot garnish, and for dessert, mascarpone cream with figs and peanuts crumble) but also through its design and, bien sûr, through its wonderful selection of wines from the  cellar of the bistrot. The menu is changed daily.

 • L'Absinthe - a special place, where the flavours blend with each other in such incredible ways, from duck breast with foie gras and broccoli, homemade marmalade with whipped cream and hot chocolate, green, crispy vegetables, velvet-like cauliflower puree and vierge sauce; ah, and an absinth,at the end, for”la petite mort”

I couldn`t miss some wow restaurants, too:

 • The famous Jules Verne– Ducasse`s “child”, in the heart of the Eiffel Tower, where the gourmet experience blends with a special view, in a unique way, and the menus are absolutely exceptional.

 • Lapérouse - stands proudly in a very old house, dating back to the 18th century, a house that was bought by Lefèvre, an artisan of drinks and was minutely preserved and restored, being spectacular for a fairy dinner.

• Les Bouquinistes - really charming. Guy Savoy and Stéphane Perraud are the creators of the dishes to be served here and the starters with foie gras, ginger, papaya and crab, coq au vin with fine celery and carrot purees or the citrus meringue with chestnut biscuit and whipped cream are irresistible!

• Le Procope - should be checked because it`s the oldest café in Paris, a kind of wonderful legend with pieces of letters belonging to the famous writers and a very original ambiance.. If you don`t fancy eating, you can indulge in a drink and thus, visit the place.

• Colored rec: I left le bon-bon on the cake at the end, that is a landmark restaurant of Paris, L`Atelier de Joël Robuchon (with prices just as spectacular), that has some fantastic combinations such as royal crab, eggs with crawfish sauce and black truffles, egg-plant millefeuille with mozzarella and basil.
