If you ever have the ardent wish to put yourselves in her place (or in her slippers) well, I`ve got the PLACE - The Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai. You can find the perfect spot for an afternoon tea at Sea Lounge, which would make Muntaz Mahal a bit jealous,too; it`s an art deco saloon, with wonderful colonial influences, and with a spectacular Arabian Sea before your eyes… Ah, and a divine live piano music, so you feel completely spoilt.

It`s looked upon as being a landmark of the city as far as the tradition of the English tea is concerned. It`s enriched with local, Indian details and an international selection of dainty dishes. Starters with chicken in a crust of herbs, shrimps, avocado and beet salad, toast with cheese and chilli, raspberry cheesecake, caramel and almond tart, a delicious range of pastry shops, but also green, white, oo-lang teas, with herbs, floral or fruit flavour, aromatic coffees, but also specialities from the street food of Mumbai, which you can all taste at Sea Lounge. The buffet of this place is by far one of the best and most impressive buffets I`ve ever seen and tested!
