It`s the day when the train stops in Udaipur and Chittorgarh, where glorious stories and histories reveal and unfold themselves in a ravishing scenery with a fictional touch, with warriors and leaders who guarded the heritage that had been left by their ancestors. The two destinations are magical fortresses in which the temples, the palaces and the lakes are the main characters. Udaipur is actually known as the City of Lakes, which hides many amorous escapades and love stories of their former rulers.

The road leads to Jag Niwas, or the Lake Palace Hotel, one of the biggest and most interesting buildings in India, a superb and extremely romantic hotel, by the Pichola lake, which preserves costumes, arms and other important objects ,in the interior museum, reminding visitors of the past, if you have some spare time check Jag Mandir, too,a summer royal palace, standing on an island, by Pichola lake, an old and impressive building.

Chittorgarh is really special, in the way that breathes history into each and every corner. It seems to have a significant place in the heart of Rajputs (the inhabitants of Rajasthan), because it was the only town to withstand resistance to the past invasions, in those days when almost all towns had been invaded. Consequently, many devoted warriors in the history of this country come from this place. The citadel is the biggest fort in India, which was built in the VII-th century, and abounds in temples and monuments. As it is, for instance, the tower of victory raised by Rana Kumbha after fighting with Gujarat Sultan. If you climb those 157 stairs (and YES, it's worth it), you will catch some dream views.
