I think that media is a socially rich source of inspiration and reverie for every traveler, especially Pinterest and Instagram.
The latest discovery, that I wrote on my list of travel-musts ,to be later experienced by myself, was found on Pinterest and is called  Buçaco Palace.
I found it on a travel board, I decided  that it was worth staying there for a few days, I dug into the big net and once I arrived in Portugal, I was only a few hours away from the big encounter.

Buçaco is located in the nearby city of Coimbra, being an exquisite palace, surrounded by gardens and a luxuriant forest. A luxury hotel was built for the last king of Portugal, an even more romantic castle than its German or French counterparts, a place of tradition, history, exotism and mysticism. Bussaco Palace Hotel (Palace Hotel do Buçaco), obrigado!

• It is located at approximately 20 minute drive from Coimbra,on a wide piece of land ,surrounded by a forest and is a national heritage site.
• It`s a small gem in Manueline style, with carved laces, that was converted into a hotel in a brilliant and highly profitable way. Careful: its interior can be visited provided that you are a guest here or if you have lunch or dinner, but the gardens can be visited freely.

• It has several wings, with different rooms, the biggest and most beautiful are to be found in the main building(in my opinion, the rest of them need renovating a bit, even if they have a peculiar charm, without being done up.) Most rooms are done up in the Art Nouveau and Art Deco style and they are smart.
• I loved the superb garden and if you catch a frame with the palace in the background, too, it`s a dream that has come true.

• The interior is very well preserved, with exceedingly beautiful public places, with carved walls,

the hall and the stairway being enriched with a multitude of azulejos, depicting a variety of scenes.

• The bar is a real splendor, a theatrical decor slightly medieval, by itself, full of precious elements and especially the incredible drinks and wine

• The restaurant is truly sumptuous, you feel as if you were a princess (or a prince) in a ballroom,

and when the lovely weather comes and you can eat on the terrace, I whole-heartedly recommend you to enjoy a culinary experience here, as , under the carefully worked out archways you will be drifted into another wonderful fairytale, from where you wish you never left.
