• At Nick`s I found some super nice decorative boxes, carved by hand, out of “sea foam”, a very porous rock which is extracted in the area of Eskisehir town. The craftsmanship is very beautiful  and it is still here that you can find pipes with incredible filigrees.

• At Iznik Works you can find ceramics for which the Islamic art has been famous since the 8th century and which remind us of the ceramics of the mosques. Tea glasses, painted plates, multicolored bowls, impressive decorative plated and dishes, in amber, cobalt, turquoise and saffron shades, all gathered here to delight the eyes and the soul of every visitor.

and Dhoku

are other two shops where you need to walk in, for…carpets! Tens of rolls and piles and heaps of silk, wool and cotton, with intricate patterns look like a kaleidoscope, which the Ottoman history and culture revolve around.

• You also need to check Yazzma, with cashmeres with precious, decorative pillows and sophisticated bed spreads

• If you want a uber cool souvenir, Selda Okutun is the right place! It`s crammed with silver jewels, each and all exquisite and delicate

• Cukurkuma is on the bucket list of every shopaholic who is keen on art, so, venture into the workshop of painters, artists, creators of beauty where the decorations, the antiques, the ceramics and the paintings belong to this place as if they were at their own home
