A hotel as spectacular as a thousand palaces
If Jaipur is the gem of Rahjasthan, then Jaipur has undoubtedly one of its own, a gem that borrowed all its pastel shades and which is called… Rambagh Palace. It`s enough to utter its name and almost anyone in Jaipur knows what you are talking about. You need only several minutes to see and admire its overwhelming beauty and you definitely know that you will never forget it. A few hours inside will be enough for you to recharge your batteries, to get back your typically royal-Indian energy, again which make you dream of being embodied in a maharajah.
Coming down on earth, Rambagh was really a former residence of the Maharajah of Jaipur and it is absolutely and flawlessly…stunning!
Why: if you are really interested in seeing what a traditional, Indian palace is like, Rambagh is the right place. Yes, it is opulent all the way, super luxurious, with specific decorations, full of gilded details, many domes and sophisticated elements. It`s a must-Jaipur, so to speak.

When: the best time for you to visit Rajasthan is from November to the end of March.
Type: a palace-hotel, a former residence of a maharajah that belongs to the Taj Group chain.
Location: in the center of the city, from where you will find easy you to check all the surrounding sights.
Energy: the kind of hotel that hosts princes and princesses, vips and famous celebrities, with unique welcomes, with a staff dressed in Rajasthani costumes, with ceremonies and specific music…wow!
Don’t miss:
• The garden that always gets filled up with pigeons, especially in the fountain area and where you can hear live flute music in the afternoon, at dusk

• Polo Bar - super renowned, with exceptional cocktails

• Verandah Café, that represents a real delight especially when the weather is not very hot

• The Indian food that gathers many influences from different parts of India; the Suwarna Mahal restaurant which is famous and its design is in perfect concordance with the rest of the hotel

• The pleasant walks through the garden where you can see superb peacocks here and there

• The Steam Restaurant which I liked the most is special, it is built in a train that stands by a platform; you can find the tables inside the train, but also outside, on the platform where there is a bar

but I liked Rajput Room restaurant, too, it is exquisitely decorated and the food is very tasty.
