Jaipur & Delhi in 4 cocktails
Taken separately, they are truly charming…but when they meet, in flamboyant fusions of flavors and tastes, there result some incredible, spectacular evenings.
2 cities, the pinkish Jaipur and the motley Delhi and their stories in two “mixological stars” each; from Polo Bars with a history, to lounges with personality. Shall we try?
Jaipur:
• Rambagh Palace boasts of a bar, just as spectacular, inspired by sports and signature cocktails, with a sober but very sophistiqué décor, Polo Bar. And Polo Bar also boasts of Springwind, that is a vodka-based cocktail, with cinnamon, jasmine tea and pineapple juice. ”Simple, dear Watson!” I could say…
• At Polo Bar from The Rajmahal Palace, still here, besides a lot of polo trophies and awards won by the royal family, you can also find Polo Victory, a dream cocktail with gin, lime juice, khus syrup and mineral water.
Delhi:
• I walked in 1911 Bar in a period of time devoted to the British Raj, wallpapered and evoked on the walls of the bar which is actually very interesting. I enjoyed myself, among others, with an impressive mix of vodka, coriander leaves, honey, fresh orange juice and green chilli. Equally uncommon and tasty.
• Aqua Bar Delhi is a super cool lounge, as a matter of fact, with a chill area, a pool and a top ambiance, where I tried a Dama. That is tequila with green chilli, lemon slices and cinnamon syrup. Superbe!
