Or, I`d rather say, one lucky, me, at that time when I met one of the magical creations of humanity.

I`ve always been looking for the beautiful, the wonderful, the inspiring things in the places I visit and wherever I stopped in my 12 years of traveling, I would treasure up recollections and special emotions in my ”treasure chest”. But the Loire Valley will always have a unique place in “my colored ideas”, that`s why I`m delighted to tell you about it, so that we can relive together spectacular moments of my journey through the 9, out of the 300 castles, in this fantastic corner of France.

•  Blois - or the castle with fireplaces. Can you believe that there is a fireplace in each of the hundreds of rooms? Some heat! The style is rather gothic than related to Renaissance, but is truly impressive. Joan of Arc and a lot of kings and dukes crossed the threshold of this palace and lived here happily ever after.
  
  

• Usse – or La Belle au Bois Dormant(in English, The Sleeping Beauty, one of my favorite fairy - tales) It`s famous for the ispiration it had  provided for Charles Perrault when writing this wonderful story.
  
  

• Valençay – George Sand said it was one of the most beautiful buildings in the world, so, I couldn`t contradict her. The castle Valençay has some exquisite interiors, thanks to Napoleon, and a unique theatre in the area, being surrounded by wide hectares of vegetation and splendid scenery.
  
  

• Cheverny – not very different from Valençay is Cheverny, a castle which preserves, in my opinion, the same elegant, special, romantic, French touches with perfect gardens and a fairy-like ambiance.
