The charming monsieur Kir
It has the name of a French Revolution hero, a big fan of “Crème de Cassis” and its flavor, which delicately balances the acidity and the austerity of alcohol, that won the refined, well-educated people from everywhere: starting with Madame Chanel, who loved “le Kir”, or the gorgeous Katherine Hepburn. All I can confess is that I …enjoy this wonderful drink as often as possible
Kir Royal, is, in my opinion, the ideal combination between champagne and a fruit liqueur, something a bit sweet, but at the same time, strong, versatile and velvet-like, which can be drunk as an aperitif, a few hours before having your meal or while sitting honorably, waiting for the cocktail hour.
The Recipe? I`ve already told you, it`s simple:
9/10 champagne
1/10 currant cream (ahh, when I think of its savor and color, I already dream of France).
First, you put the currant liqueur in a flute glass and then you slowly pour the champagne. And there it is! Et voila!
