Yoo-hoo and a bottle of rum!

That is what the song in Robert Louis Stevenson’s novel, "The Treasure Island", says. And the rum, if you think it twice, is a treasure
. And on Mauritius Island it doesn’t make an exception! On the contrary, it’s such a popular and lovely drink that you can find it everywhere, in so many delicious combinations, which you should obviously try, to find out the value of rum, by yourself.
Therefore, Colored "Rum Diary" includes:
- Ti Punch is a very tasty typical drink, with white rum, lime and raw sugar. A Mauritius must!

- Distillery Rum, you can find in various flavors and colors - vanilla, cinnamon, tangerines - in almost all the bars and local restaurants

- Dodo Swizzle is a juicy mix of water melon juice, pineapple and lime, enlivened with St.Aubin rum and melon liqueur, in which you sprinkle curry leaves. So cool!

- Vanilla Sky, with fiery ginger, sweetened with rum, infused with vanilla, sprinkled with vodka and fresh lemon juice and flavored with sweet pineapple and grated ginger

- Mango Milk Mojito, a heavenly "pair" of mango sorbet, Ti white rum with coconut, all mixed with fresh mint leaves, lime juice and coconut milk

- At The Boathouse Bar I had a custom made pampering, with some cocktails made by the bartenders with our favorite ingredients: the first is with rum, fresh passion fruit, and also passion fruit juice, a dash of fresh lime, brown sugar and a little bit of pineapple juice.

The second one is also with rum (well, it was the island specialty) with fresh of bananas and pineapple made on the spot, a little bit of brown sugar and coconut water. Simple and so goood !!
