So many things were written, told and sung about it, that it became the most famous in the world. Whereas the celebs of these days have favourite spots in Mallorca or Seychelles, in the olden centuries, the emperors and the personalities of those days preferred IT. The old island inhabited in turn by Greeks and Romans, occupied by Napoleon, having hosted Axel Munthe, Maxim Gorki, the queen Victoria of Sweden and Mariah Carey in smart villas, is such a ravishing, glamorous and cool destination that you need to add it on the list of must see&do in your lifetime.
Yes, because with its mysterious, Mediterranean air, faraglioni and special grottoes, little streets with their stunning fragrances coming out of the designers`boutiques, and posh bars which amaze you with cocktails and aperitivo under bougainvillea and lemon trees, is definitely worth spending some idyllic days, of heaven on earth. So, here we are in Capri!

1. Go for a tour through Caesar Augustus Gardens, the emperor Augustus actually being "the island`s promoter" too, with a view of the lofty Faraglioni and the harbour Marina Piccola

2. Go for a leisurely, pleasant stroll, before sunset, in the evening, past the gorgeous villas, on the Via Tragara up to Punta Tragara, for a wonderfull view

3. Spare a day for La Fontelina Beach Club, in Capri, where you can enjoy the views with much blue and solar yellow,

4. For the beach-lovers in Marina Piccola, in the southern part of the island you can enjoy Scoglio delle Sirene, Bagni Internazionali, Da Gioia,

and something quieter would be Bagni di Tiberio, 10 minutes away from Marina Grande

5. Take a boat tour with swimming in the crystal-clear, deep waters, plus a visit to one of  the landmarks of Capri, Grotta Azzura

6. Go for a walk in Anacapri, the highest part of the island, through the old center, with many nice, little shops and don`t fail to visit Villa San Michele, Casa Rossa, Chiesa San Michele and then do a bit of shopping-some ceramics at Il Veliero and last, but not least, taste an extraordinary ice cream at Capri Crema Café (I liked the one with Tiramisu best)

7. If you are passionate about history, you have to visit the ruins of Villa Jovis (built by Emperor Tiberius ), and then, to enjoy even more the air of Capri, in the same direction but a little bit further, is Villa Fersen, that has a wonderful view over Marina Grande

• Buy a divine and genuine Limoncello di Capri to drink when you get back home from the shop bearing the same name or get some delicious cookies, with lemon (caprilu al limone) from the super well-known Buonocore

8. Buy a souvenir from Carthusia, the most famous brand of the island, in matters of candles and local perfumes

9. Get a pair of handmade sandals from Amedeo Canfora or from Arte del Sandalo Caprese in Anacapri, or at least walk in here to see the craftman working

10. If you want to do some shopping, walk on Via Camerelle

11. For the most beautiful sunset, go to Anacapri, at Il Faro, and while sipping an aperitif you can admire the spectacular colors of the sunset and watch the sun gently plunging into the sea

12. You should definitely taste Aperitivo, at Al Piccolo Bar, in Piazzetta or at Bar Quisi, that have a view of the fancy shops

13. The food here, how else but wow, must be tasted daily. So, have dinner at the famous Da Paolino(in a lemon orchard), Aurora ”the place where to see and be seen” or at  Il Geranio, where they have all kinds of pasta extraordinarily good

14. Last, but not least, make a reservation for a night in Anema e Core, a famous place, full to the brim with VIP-s, although it has a plain, rustic décor where live music,the old hits and the ambiance make the place perfect.
