It is said, and not at all by chance, that the Turkish are among the most hospitable and welcoming people. It is also believed that it`s impossible even for the most demanding people not to find something to their taste, here. As far as drinks are concerned, I tried coffee and tea, boza and ayran, also raki and beer. But the more varied the snacks, salads and desserts in the culinary culture of Bosporus are, the more varied and …wonderful the cocktails are.

Don’t drink&drive, but let`s try  :

   • Punica Cocktail at the Sky Terrace, 10 Karakoy hotel is an almost miraculous drink, with some Havana club rum, fresh pomegranate, relishable grapefruit juice, a few drops of lime and mint, for extra freshness and extra color

   • Piquant boasts of its success at Georges Hotel, in Le Fumoir Bar, it`s super duper and sweet, from its tasty Chambord and Limoncello, it has also a piquant flavour from the fresh ginger

   • Wobbly Haunch is the companion of Piquant, in Le FumoirBar, is as good as the latter one, but it isn`t sweet at all, it`s made of a super interesting combination of rum, Amaretto, Angostura bitter and passion fruit

   • Prison Rose Cocktail at the A'Ya Lounge, is equally serious, (that`s the way  it sounds), and flavorful and delicate, with some vodka, apple and pomegranate juice, and rose water

   • Summer Soul at Alex Bar may seem quite simple, but it is as yummy and effective as possible: Aperol, gin, prosecco and lemon, for a good taste
   • Satsuma is a cool cocktail, not sweet at all, which you can find at Alex Bar, too, made of fresh and refreshing satsuma, dried lemon skin, juniper and gin.

• Black Rose of Leb-Y Deria Bar has the fine flavour of rosé, strong accents of Smirnoff vodka, black mulberries for fanciness and fresh rosemary, as the prevailing note
