The best cocktails in Bangkok
Ok, I surely won`t recommend you a Hangover in Bangkok because it is dangerous, as you have seen
, but you definitely need to try some cocktails here, as they are like nowhere else in the world. And in a city with so many rooftops and bars and clubs per square meter, you can`t resist the temptation! Besides the amazing bars I have found here, my mixological horizon has undoubtedly got new valencies. Therefore, let`s get to know them:
Thai Roulette – one of the best I`ve ever drunk! - from the fascinating Bamboo Bar, is a marvelous mixology of Tanqueray gin, lemongrass mousse, fresh ginger, honey and lime juice, served with an even more wonderful specific dessert, Foi thong, to go along with it.
Vertigo Sunset – is to be drunk at sunset at the impressive Vertigo and Moon Bar Banyan Tree, with some tropical flavor of Malibu rum, pineapple juice, cranberry and lime juice. Super fresh!
Hangovertini – (a suggestive name)- after the well-known comedy Hangover, which has also some scenes filmed at Sky Bar. So, it`s a must at Sky Bar and also at Distil Bar (Lebua Tower), one of the hottest mixological spots in Bangkok, and it will dazzle you with its flavors of whiskey, Martini Rosso, apple juice and rosemary syrup-fatal combo!
It is still at Sky Bar found an interesting cocktail: as a matter of fact there are 2 pair cocktails Sunshine&Moonlight-Jackson 5 like inspiration or inspiration with Havana rum, passion fruit, healing aloe, the white of an egg, flavoured vanilla syrup and refreshing lime juice. Super creative! It is absolutely necessary to serve it along with the second one, that contains Plymouth gin, lime juice, sugar syrup, finally garnished with ….blackberries…a piece of heaven !(or two
)
Lychee and Rose Petal is a flavored and delicate fusion of Ketel One Vodka, relishable lychees and rose syrup, ornamented with rose petals…so romantic in the so amazing Park Society Rooftop Bar, in Sofitel So Bangkok, where you can enjoy some live jazz on Saturdays.
Coco, from the panoramic Octave Rooftop Lounge - with the super ambiance and d.j on Sundays- is made of some extraordinary Gosling`s Iack Seal rum, fresh pineapple, and coconut cream(yummmmm) splendidly mixed with fresh ginger, passion fruit, for a touch of seduction and some drops of flavored bitter. Just perfect!
It is still here that I tasted Mango Sticky Rice – a fun&fab medley of Niikki Thai Rice Spirit , sweet and tasty mango, coconut milk and pandan. To be served immediately!
A Cosmopolitan Bangkok is to be tried at the unique and original Long Table (but you`d better not share it with others), with Absolut mandarin vodka, Cointreau, beneficent pomegranate juice, refreshing and extremely healthy lemon juice and some plain syrup for a good taste. WOW!
Siam Sunrays(with Thai aromas), from the romantic 360 Outdoor Lounge Millennium, with Ketel One vodka, Malibu rum, syrup, red chilly, ginger, lime leaves, lemongrass, a bit of lime and soda made my evening!
