My dear friends, if you go to Búzios and feel like eating something lovely, you have a lot of choices to make, upon my word! Especially for the Mediterranean menu lovers, a lot of fruits and delightful desserts, but also meat, particularly beef; it’s Paradise on Earth. Even on the beach you can enjoy genuine culinary experiences - you can find plenty of fresh oysters with lemon and mussels, cooked in steam, served with lemon, too.They are cooked in a rudimentary manner, with sea water, but that’s exactly the charm, the secret and the delight of this dish.

Restaurants&Bars Colored List:

• Bar do Zé, well-known since the 60’s-70’s, is now a very cozy and nicely-arranged restaurant,with tables both inside and outside, and with that fascinating, holiday air. I tried a red snapper, Panama style and a red snapper with rice and mushrooms sauce-very tasty. They have other interesting mixtures, too, with sea food and vegetables, but also pasta, steaks, sweets and fruit flavored ice cream which wink at you.
  
  

• At Caetano Restaurant in Aquabarra hotel, I ate a traditional...sea food stew. Caldeirada de frutos de mar com arroz e farofa, that is to say, sea food with rice and farofa (fried manioc flour with bacon, eggs and onion). It was as if happening in a dream, so, you have to taste it if you get there.
  
  

• Rocka beach restaurant still lasts in my memory and heart. Besides the very tasty dishes with fish I tried here - in herbs crust and risotto, grilled or in tartare sauce - they have also some desserts which I have never heard of, so far, honestly! How about a white chocolate soup with passion fruit and ice cream? Would you fancy sweet rice with mango, caramelized coconut milk and cinnamon flavored ice cream?

  Let’s change the topic, because I’ll burst into tears.
  
  

Next stop:

• Restaurant Insólito, in Insólito boutique hotel, is a bit more sophisticated, as far as the design and the style are concerned, and the very exciting French-Brazilian fusion, specific to the hotel, is to be also found in the kitchen. You can order a Caesar salad with shrimps or a risotto with sea food or maybe a profiterole with hot chocolate syrup or a papaya cream. What shall I choose?
  
  

• I recommend Cafe Atlantico at the Casas Brancas hotel for a special dinner, in the evening, and for a coffee and a little dessert during the daytime.
  
  

They have lots of gourmet dishes: shrimps roasted on a spit, with mango, Casas Brancas salad, with goat’s cheese, rucola and shrimps, Romeo and Juliet Casas Brancas (lovely name, isn’t it? - this is a quite special Brazilian dessert, a cheese cake, made of cookies and cashew nuts crust, covered with guava and hot chilly cream!)

• At Deck (also at Casas Brancas), you can have the best pizza in town, so there are also options for those who are not very keen on sea food! Or you can choose white fish with Dijon mustard sauce and boiled vegetables, let’s say. Oh, I’ve almost forgotten about the wonderful Caipirinha, with a gorgeous view before your eyes (I would give it a high mark, an A)
  
  

Extra colored tip: go to the bar and dance at Pátio Havana, but also at Buda Beach Búzios, an eclectic space with restaurant, lounge and bar, for live music. Unforgettable!
