There are many things in your life you bear in mind, for different reasons. Even a dish or a restaurant are kept in your memory, with heart and soul. For me, lunch at Asiate, in Mandarin Oriental Hotel, New York, was quite special. I decided to go to Asiate for a change, out of curiosity, because it is rumored to be one of the best restaurants in Manhattan, besides, it has a view over Central Park. It was definitely worth the time spent there, because it was exactly the little bit of quiet and relaxation, away from the  madness and the hustle and bustle of the city.

I love savoring good and interesting dishes,and lunch here was quite special. I was extremely delighted with everything: the food, the set -up, the way food is being served, the ambiance...No sooner had I walked in than I was deeply impressed by the extremely stylish interior, exactly to my taste, with a breathtaking view, and the weird thing on the ceiling, which is a tree-shaped sculpture, inspired byCentral Park, is highly original.

The whole food is fabulous, and I enjoyed and indulged in a gourmet lunch there. You can try sea scallops with citric fruits juice and tapioca, a Long Island duck or an American filet of beef, well-assorted with a wine from their impressive selection.

The Chef here, Angie Berry, sets a high value on the way food is arranged and ornamented on the plate, by also using flower petals, a thing which completely dazzled me!
