A mixology of…design
If the gastronomy in Copenhagen stunned me with the span I have discovered here, well …cocktails, too, obviously couldn't make an exception! The same creativity, care for the details ,refinement and…design are all translated in the bars and the local mixology. Judge for yourself!
- Temptations from the first champagne bar in the city, Balthazar Champagne Bar in Hotel d’Angleterre, luxurious and ravishing, where you have the opportunity to taste liquids made of 42 kinds of champagne (as much as you can get),is a small gem. Strong Tequila Don Julio Blanco, mixed with Cointreau flavours ,fresh and sweetish lime juice, enriched with strawberry homemade syrup, and champagne top touches, can be nothing but an explosively…tempting combo!
• Brønnum is old-school, elegant, cozy, ,intimate and extremely friendly and introduced me to Britz Spritz. Would you like to find the secret of its success? Take some Kamms &Sons appetizer, a bit of Saint Germain elderflower liqueur and add some drops of soda water and crown everything with some Laherte Frères fabulous champagne . That`s all!

• The “1909” Nimb`s Signature Summer Cocktail is like a summer dream. You can find it at the iconic Nimb Bar, in Hotel Nimb, where magic things happen. Therefore, a mix of Jensen`s Old Tom gin with St.Germain elderflower liqueur, acid from fresh lemon juice, with some drops of clove bitter and 2-3 flavoured sage leaves make this cocktail as famous as the place itself.
•At the homey Ruby, rather sophisticated, but extremely welcoming, there hides a special cocktail in the likeness of a special daiquiri: Intruder, an intriguing amalgam of Havana 3 rum, with fresh lime juice sweetened with a lovely, homemade mint and chocolate syrup and “garnished”with a Nardini Grappa.

• The Whisky Bar Lidkoeb has Skomager on the top list of cocktails, that is a fruit lover: Don Julio tequila, fresh passion fruit, mint and pink grapefruit, for a great colour, and Sherry Lustau East India, for an extra savour.
