Perhaps not one of the cuisines in this wide and colored world has so many dishes which suit so many tastes and such diversity of flavors and combinations of meat, fish, herbs and cakes like the Turkish one. It wouldn`t be enough for you to spend only a week, you need more  time to taste all the salads, soups, pastries and desserts, kebabs and snacks which the Turkish people offer you in restaurants and taverns, at beach clubs and little bars, with such great joy. And here`s how Bodrum fulfilled my expectations as far as #foodforthe soul is concerned!

   • At Kocadon you can find a super tasty food, in a gorgeous setting: a paved yard with trees, with candle light in the evening, with mosaic floors and jazz

 • At Maçakizi in Golturbuku, you are going to find both the beach club that is a must during the daytime and the restaurant at sunset, with salmon with prawn sauce, grilled lobster, seasoned with a wine, or the bar in the candle light, with a glass of champagne or a dream cocktail

   • Secret Garden in Halikarnas belonging to Jade Jagger is a must, see&eat, for the special design and the different dishes with sea food and divine truffles

   • Liman Koftecisi is the classical Turkish restaurant, with traditional food. Plain, rustic, but effective and tasty

   • Restaurant Mimoza in Gümüslük is atmospheric and ideal for a dinner by candle light, with prawns or grilled squids, a dessert with water melon, white wine and a 100% Turkish coffee

   • Limon Café lies on a hill in Gümüslük, it`s not a typical one but it`s very nice,with different tables and chairs, scattered here and there, on the grass, and where you can try teas and homemade cocktails, besides super duper dishes and syrups

   • Fidèle Restaurant and Bar in Türbükü has a superb octopus carpaccio, rice and prawns and salad 

   • Iskele restaurant and D Bar Lounge (Divan Palmira) should be visited in the evening at sunset, or after and you can find fine, Mediterranean gastronomy here, sea aromas, exotic cocktails and music

 • Gonca Balik in Torba - if you want snacks and fresh fish and is near to

   • Ninu and Frida at the Casa dell Arte which are extremely welcoming, with modern touches and make you feel as if you were in paradise, in an awesome setup

   • Juju Bar, at Mandarin Oriental, is stylish and sophisticated and you need to visit it for its cocktails, dj and party(you`d rather check the events it hosts, because if you are lucky enough you can see D.J Ravin or Stephane Pampougnac, or other renowned d.j.s)

   • Kuba is one of the most fashionable bars in Bodrum, with good music and a cool ambiance, along with Mediterranean dishes out of which you`ll find it difficult to choose …
